The Revenge of….

Well I was thinking it’s about time I bored everyone senseless yet again, so here goes for the second instalment of a (very) occasional blog.

We at MRC are just recovering from a frantic few months in which members seem to be racing weekends and midweek. Since the Prague sojourn in March, members have raced in Scotland (Edinburgh & Skye), Northumberland (Coastal Run) and are due to take part in race the Train in Wales with a final trip in September to Budapest. There have been midweek races in various events and last but certainly not least there was the visit from ACPI St Quentin who came over to run the Abbey Dash in July.

Lat year we completed a race in St Quentin, Rotherham’s twin town and had such a great time that we invited our French friends over this year. The weekend was brilliant with Ray (Van Gogh)Matthews presenting our friends with an oil painting of Roche Abbey on behalf of the club (see photo).

I think it’s fair to say that we have made real friends and broken down any barriers existing between our respective countries. They are, in my opinion, top people and we hope to continue the friendship for as long as we can.

Anyway, that’s it for now. Keep happy, Keep fit, and KEEP ON RUNNING

Yours in sport

Bob
